RUNNER MAKEOVER
Three people have surrendered their running lives to us and let the makeover take over! With expert coaching from elite marathoner Tania Jones, along with nutrition counselling, and technology, gear and shoes from Adidas, these runners are undergoing a transformation. Follow along as Tania and her various guests share observations, advice and wisdom with all of iRun Nation! While each of our Makeover candidates is unique, they all have issues common to many runners. Follow their blogs as they share their challenges, successes and lessons learned:

RUNNER MAKEOVER: ALEKS SPALVINS
Aleksandra Spalvins wants to run a marathon. The 47-year old from Toronto, Ontario is an "adult-onset" athlete, having taken up running 2 years ago. While she's raced distances up to 30K, the enthusiastic runner wants to do the full 42.2 - and eventually, she wants to qualify for Boston. The plan: use the power of her enthusiasm without doing too much, too soon.

RUNNER MAKEOVER: BROCK SKYWALKER
Brock Skywalker wants to get faster - fast enough to qualify for Boston. To do this, the 39-year old from Edmonton, Alberta will need to develop more aerobic strength and build a stronger base. While he's certainly not afraid of hard work, he does face a challenge: balance. One of Skywalker's biggest joys is leading Team in Training athletes from "couch to marathon" - so how will he give his best to his athletes while still saving a little something for himself?

RUNNER MAKEOVER: CHRYSTAL FULLER
Chrystal Fuller has been an athlete all her life, from competitive swimming and playing soccer, to taking up running over 5 years ago. Now the 42-year old from outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia wants to get faster. To break the elusive "60-minute barrier" for the 10K she will need more than training - she will also have to "find herself" - focus on her goals and celebrate her accomplishments - rather than measure herself against others.

THE SHUFFLER by Dana Ménard
Dana Ménard has been a runner since January 2007 and prefers to describe herself as "speed-challenged" rather than slow. Despite this handicap, she has completed two half-marathons, three triathlons and various 5 and 10km races. She is also a Guinness World Record holder (as a participant in the world's largest kilt race). Join her as she explores life at the back of the pack.
