It is my express wish that in awarding the prizes no consideration be given to the nationality of the candidates, but that the most worthy shall receive the prize, whether he be Scandinavian or not.

    VICKY: Wow.  Awesome new shirt.

    GRANT: Yep, pretty amazing eh.

VICKY: Where did you get it?

GRANT: iRun wants us to give them away.  We’ve got other stuff too.

    VICKY: Like what?

    GRANT: It’s a surprise.

VICKY: Wicked.  How do our loyal readers win them?

GRANT: Pretty simple I guess.  All they need to do is leave a comment in the comments section below (and future posts).  Then iRun will pick some winners.

VICKY: Sounds good, but besides Regan who do you think reads our blog?

GRANT: My dad does.  That’s about it I guess.

VICKY: We’ll see then. Best of luck to our readers!

Self-described “running nerds,” Vicky and Grant are co-workers who “spend their lunch hours at the nearest bookstore and will often be seen around the office getting excited about a new energy bar or running gadget.” The duo captured our attention with their unique (double) take on Running Blog Idol, pledging to address a host of different topics including Canadian running heroes. Their submission to our contest even included a sample vlog (available at youtube.com/watch?v=oy4oDokN1Qo), which they promise is “but only a mere example of the lengths we are willing to go in order to share our experience, knowledge, research and general ramblings.” Holy multimedia, Batman!

    1. I was waiting for an appropriate bribe to emerge from lurking, and a shiny new t-shirt is just the thing!

    2. I’m reading over here in Australia. I love my running, i just wish me knees felt the same way.

    3. Good job folks. But are you reading Prefontaine, or are you just in this for beautiful technical t-shirt? That’s a rhetorical question. I know you just want the T-shirt. It doesn’t really matter though. You are still eligible.

But. We’re going to be having a little Prefontaine quiz coming up. Correct responses may increase your chances of winning.

These shirts are really cool by the way. It’s a really nice deep red and they are higher quality than the normal tech shirt. Good luck.

    4. I’m all for the racing bling – it’s part of the addiction. But, also addicted to reading…which is why I’m currently your number one fan – ha!

    5. I think you should give Sylvie a t-shirt, sounds like she really needs one. Although I have to say, I’m a bit surprised it was *her* that ran into a fire hydrant, you’d think it would have been the people watching her running without a t-shirt on… 🙂

    6. I’m probably not eligible for prizes but I’ll comment anyway. I am reading Pre so I think I can ace your quiz, Grant. Bring it on!!

    7. Nothing beats a great run – unfortunately, I haven’t been able to run with my twisted ankle. Hey, you know what might help? A new, and free, tech t-shirt as a tensor! Pick me!!!

    8. I’m relatively new to running (2009) and completely new to iRun, and one of the first things I see is this contest. I love contests! and a tech t-shirt would be awesome!!
